- [Announcer] NLS eReader HumanWare How-To Series. File Management. - Hi, I'm Judy Dixson, consumer relations officer at NLS. In this edition of the NLS EReader How-T Series, I am going to cover file management. The reader's file manager lets you browse, move, copy, rename, and delete the books and magazines on the device. To access the file manager from the main menu, use the Upper Down thumb keys to reach file manager or alternatively just type the letter F. When file manager is on the display, press Enter or cursor routing button to open it. Here, you will find a short menu books and online books followed by a Back button. These are the folders on the internal storage drive. A full eight dot braille cell is displayed before the name of a folder to make it easier to identify. To open a folder, press the Enter key or a cursor routing button. To go to the list of drives on the device, press the letter D dots one, four, five, with the Space key. Here, you will see a list of the drives currently accessible. There may be as many as three drives storage SD and USB on the list depending on what's connected at the time. If there is no SD card or USB drive connected, it will not be on the list. To open a drive, press the Enter key or a cursor routing button. You will be at the root of the drive with the available files and folders displayed. Use the Up and Down thumb keys to move through the list. At this point, there are many options. The, "Where am I" command a braille WH sign, dots one, five, six with the Space key will display the current path. Press the letter S with the Backspace key, to see a menu of the sort options. You can create a new folder by pressing the letter N dots one, three, four, five, with the Space key and typing its name followed by the Enter key. You can rename a file or folder by pressing the letter R dots one, two, three, five with the Backspace key. Type, the new name and press the Enter key. You can copy a file or folder by pressing the letter C, dots one, four, with the Backspace key. You can delete a file or folder by pressing the letter D dots one, four or five with the Backspace key. You can Mark files or folders by pressing dots one, six with the Backspace key for copying or deleting. You can paste whatever you cut or copied by pressing the letter V dots one, two, three, six with the Backspace key.
