>. . . que Jesucristo derrama,
camina la Virgen pura
en una fresca mañana.
Como era tan de mañana,

Encontró a San Juan Bautista
y de esta manera le habla,
-¿No ha pasado por aquí
el Hijo de mis entrañas?
-Por aquí pasó, Señora,
antes que el gallo cantara,
cinco mil azotes lleva
en sus sagradas espaldas.
Una cruz lleva en su espalda . . .

. . . that Jesus Christ spills
walks the Virgin pure
on a cool morning.
As it was early in the morning
the hour that she walked,
the bells of Bethlehem

She encounters Saint John the Baptist
and speaks with him in this manner:
-Haven't you seen come by here
the Son of my vitals?
-He passed by here, Lady,
before the rooster sang,
five thousand lashes
he carries on his holy back.
He carries a cross on his back . . .
