The 
Republicans of Madison
County will assemble in 
mass meeting at Edwardsville
on Tuesday
the 18th instant - We 
want to make a rigorous
fight this fall, and
want to make a good
stand - We intend
to announce several
speakers from abroad
among whom will
be yourself - The 
Republicans of this vicinity
would take great 
pleasure in meeting
you, and we are
satisfied you could
do much good.
We shall be happy

know that you will 
be present at our meeting.
 The people of Madison 
have been disappointed
several times in regard 
to speakers and begin
to mistrust they are thot
not worth looking after.
