If I just knew 
some magic way
To make my wish come true,You'd see me come a-running in
TO SPEND THE DAY WITH
YOU! To Cousin Alice
on Sept. 14th
So many happy birthdays
Have made their way to you.
We life to think of some others
And of what you used to do.
You're bound up in our memories
Of visits to Pope's Hill,
Producing endless photographs
that entertain us still.
Or way up in the attic,
Reading novels by the score,
While consuming packs of cod fish
Your arteries hardening more & more! 
We below were filled with pity
For your base, degraded fare
As we guzzled fragrant beef broth
With a taste beyond compare. 

Those cherry pies, all luscious
With juice cupped close within,
Topped off with cream of Jersey brand
Who haulpered to beslinn!
Then off to take a pleasant ride
With "LAdy" brisbly trotting
Our elders deep in real estate,
and future house lots plotting.
Or up onto the housetop high,
To view the lovely bay,
Was another expedition for a 
clear + sparkling day.
Cliff House has been refurbished
Rooms painted bright + gay.
T'would rejoice your heart to see it
Full of life, and youngsters play.
But when go to visit there
And others feel the same, 
It still is Cousin Alice's 
What'er the owner's home.Cousin Alice dear we greet you,
who have blessed to many lives,
With our live and admirations
As your birthday now arrives.
Dear Cousin Alice this
is halting verse, but 
please take the will
for the deed, and 
accept the hosts of
