My dear Miss Blackwell: Our mutual friend Miss McDermott, of the Pan American Bulletin write me recently that your new book will soon appear. If you are having review copies sent out, I hope you will have one sent to this Review for review purposes. Of course we are mainly historical, but I think we should note the literature and in Hispanic America so much of verse and prose has a very close connection with history that we are not mixing oil and water in noting books that are primarily included included in the class of literature. I wonder what you would think of an article in the HAHR on the historica element in Hispanic American verse and whether you would care some time to write such an article. In suggesting this, I have to tell you that the H HAHR which is published by the mercy of the Duke University is unable to pay for its articles. It gives 25 reprints to authors, however. I should think an article of about 20 pages would be very interesting. Cordially James A. Robertson. In case you do not know our Review, you will find it in the Boston Public Library. JAR.
