I enclose a check for that wonderful Madame [B?kovsky] with best wishes for her birthday- The thought of her is always inspiring to us. 

I was sorry to read in the Register of the death of Mabel Barrows Mussey- Just the [?] article of her death in Germany.Many memories arise as I 
think of his + her dear 
father + mother. I wonder 
if she was ill long or if 
the end came suddenly. 
And how and where the 
boy is. I don't want to 
trouble you to write me - 
but anything you could 
tell me would be of great 
interest to me.  I hope 
you keep well, and I know 
you keep busy, these days 
of puzzling depression.
