   I do not know how to thank
you enough for your kindness
in sending all those nice
things to Kate this morning
She is delighted with them.
Will you accept this card from
her,-she so wants to send it -
I do hope to have the pleasure 
of seeing you again some
day to have a talk about a 
few things. though I do hopenot under such sad circumstances
as we met before -
it seems as if it cannot be true
that my Dear Sister is gone
it often comes over me I must
write to her but I do hope she
is better off.  I often wonder if
she knows the Unpleasantness
there is around us -
I do hope you & the Dr are quite
well and hope you will have a
Happy Xmas, again thanking
you for your great kindness
