BLACKWELL FAMILY LUCY STONE Callanan, [Mrs] M.C.OFFICE OF THE WOMAN'S JOURNAL, [No. 3 TREMONT PLACE.] 4 Park St. Boston, Nov 24 1878 My dear Mrs. Callanan I have come to the conclusion that the [Iowa?] society has always been considered by us, as auxiliary to the American. Because it took part in the organisation of it. We assumed, that those states which were represented at its formation were auxiliary - and they are. I think that must be the way it is, and that it is all right. At any rate dear Mrs. Callanan you are auxiliary - and I am sure we shall hold together. On the whole we had a good meeting. But next time, we must have better arrangements for the business - We got home safe, and hope you did. In haste. but with much love Lucy Stone
