FEINBERG/WHITMAN NOTES and NOTEBOOKS Notes--Brooklyniana UNDATED Theatres Box 38 Folder 48 Brooklyn Theatres. -- There was quite a large handsome theatre put up in Brooklyn in the early part of 1828 - It was a wooden building, on the east side of Fulton street [about two] a few feet below Concord. - It made a [????] plan neat appearance outside and ?? was large enough inside to contain [inside] a ring for [a] circus performances, [and w] and also a stage. -- Previous to [its er] this the shows of travelling circuses, [and] menageries, and itinerants of various sorts, supplied all that sort of amusement to the village. -- 1009 Brooklyniana: Brooklyn Theatres.
