Kindlings.
Yes, [perhaps that is merely] not only [what that litttle of] this
particular faggot, but [perhaps that is w what probably] all my
writings, prose and verse, [really] throughout, are doubtless--
[only] merely kindlings. [To the realization realize primitive
hints and seeds of the] Ah if I could but suceed in that!  [A] Of the
interior American qualities, yet undeveloped, but primitive &
perennial, & certain, [fountains] , Health, Manliness, Womanliness,
Affection, real Democracy, real Wealth, (no more these spurious
shows, [or] insane similacrums, eructations,) -- to [tw] start the
fruitful flame! To begin it, even [if] ever so crudely, [but] yet
original & worthy, and characteristic of & for the New World--
aye [of] for all [Humanity] Nations, all Humanity. On thought ever
at the fore--that in this Divine Ship, the World, [sailing] breastingTime & Space, [?]ll the Peoples of the globe really sail to-
gether, sail identically the same voyage, share the same good 
or bad luck & are bound to the same destiny. Yes- perhaps that in (nearly) not only
( what that) this particular little faggot (perhaps that is)
all my writings prose and 
verse throughout ( really) are doubtless merely (only) kindlings
