FEINBERG/WHITMAN NOTES and NOTEBOOKS NOTES--Printing & Pub 1890(?) John Johnston's Photographic Plate Includes verso letter from William F. Prosser, Sept. 18, 1890. State of Washington, Harbor Line Commission, Personal Seattle, Washington, Sept 18th 1890 Walt Whitman, Esq. Camden, N.J. Dear Sir, I enclose herewith a copy of an Address delivered by me at the Annual Reunion of the Pioneers of the State of Washington In that address I took the liberty of quoting a few appropriate stanzas from your poem, entitled the "Pioneers" and regretted that space did not permit me to make use of all of them as I wished to do. I shall be pleased if the address referring as it does to the early history of the settlers on our north west coast, should afford any interest whatever to the author of the stirring and patriotic poem referenced. With best wishes for your health and happiness. I am very truly yours. Wm. F.
