Teach the Whole Truth (Lessing): prose. A.MS. (1p. 18 1/2 x
21 1/4 cm.)

Written in ink, with no corrections or changes, on a sheet of
lined ledger paper, with bottom half missing, pasted on a white sheet, 43 wprds:

     "I know not," says Lessing,
"if it be a duty to offer up
"fortune & life for the truth;
"but I know it is a duty, if
"one undertakes to teach the truth,
"to teach the whole of it, or none
"at all."
