Written in purple pencil, with a correction in pencil, on the back of a piece torn from a discarded letter (from Mary Smith?, which reads: 'came this morning. Thank you for it. Logan and Alys and papa and Mrs. Williams and Churchy, and Sadie Whitall and Florence Dike and I all send love to you. Yours sincerely'), 22 words:
