NAWSA GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE May, Abby W. Abby W. May Thank you dear Miss Stone for your kind letter. I will most certainly go with you to see the Governor, if your time is one that is possible for me. On Thursday morning I cannot go, but I know of no other impossible time just now. But I cannot go to Washington, much as I would like to do so. The meeting comes just at the time of my mother's birthday (93rd!) & I could not leave her then if she is still hers; as I ardently hope, though I feel it doubtful at times, she is so very feeble. I would always like to say 'yes' to your requests, even when I knew I was wholly inadequate to the duty to which you[surround us. If I had as much brains & time as I had heart for our cause, I should be worth something to it. [I am] heartily yours, Abby W. May Friday edf.- Love heartily yours, Abby W.
