Some months ago, I received from you a roll of copies
of the Woman's Column, which I have distributed
at a Co meeting (WCTU) at Wooster. [and] Alliance & Marlboro
Ohio.  I called attention to them, & handed them to such
women as would accept them.  I called attention to
the terms but took no subscriptions.
I saw a large package of them at Massillon at the 
Equal Suffrage Con, but I did not see any distributed
The Journal & Tribune. were there also - I do not 
think any agent was appointed to attend to them
though notice was given to take copies for inspection 
I gave a few copies of the Womans Column in Ashland WCTU
and to each of the WCTU of Canton.
I am sorry I did no more, but I hope reading will
make some of them wish to know more.
I think the habit of reading such educational matter
should be impressed on our women, I do what I can 
and wish I could do more.
You may send one copy to my niece.

Dear Madam,
Several weeks ago
I received a sample copy of the Womans Column
and a letter offering me [ten cents?] on every
subscriber. I am very glad to work
for it, and would have done it without
any commission, but will accept this and
put it into our state work. You know
that the money part is one of the drawbacks
to full organization. I am very anxious
to induce the suffragist of Marlboro which
is a village of only about four hundred,
to organize at once and every cent we
can obtain will be of advantage.
These names were obtained during one recess
at our State Convention at Salem, the only
leisure I had from committee work.
Mrs. Colby, Mrs. Perkins and Mrs Murphy were
all there and working for their own papers
two days before I could begin so I was
glad to get even this many. Of

The heavy and continued rains interfered 
greatly with the attendance at the
