NAWSA GEN Corresp. Zoholi, Frank M. Frank m. Zottoli, Attorney and Counsellor at Law, 73 Hanover Street, Boston, Mass. Boston, Mass., September 15th., 1942. Miss Alice Stone Blackwell; 11010 Massachusetts Ave. Cambridge, Mass. Dear Madam; There is no doubt but that you will say, to yourself, tardy, well is not that excusable by the z in my surname ? I have not seen you since we used to meet occasionally at Christ Church, Dix Street, Dorchester, and read of your coming Birthday in the sunday Globe, on Monday Morning, that should make my tardiness pardonable. I was pleased to read that you were active and well, the rest I knew, and these September[n] born are singular in one respect, they must thoughts out, for what they may avail, with what success is another question. For it took me a year of prodding to bring about relief to the Unemployed and to lead the Nation out of the Depression, But succeeded only in part, that is, to the extent of P.W.., and you'd laugh and grin, and wonder whether life's uplifters assist their sinkers by their notions, if you knew what has become of some of my thoughts. However keep heart, young lady. My Great Grandfather who lived 103 years, said persons were old when they died, You started ahead of me as to years and days, keep right on, I'll follow up, though but fifteen years apart and six days as start, Enclosed find a second Acrostic, I had written and not typewritten, when I noticed my light hand had, thumped the letteres of my typewriter out of due course, and took the time to straighten that out, that further accounts for tardiness. Happy Birthdays Yours sincerely, Frank M. Zottoli HAPPY BIRTHDAYS. (An Acrostic.*.*) By Frank M. Zottoli, LLB. I.
