O'Keeffe/Stieglitz Box 2 Folder 9 Letters Stieglitz, Alfred 1941 Letter # 10 3/1 194-195 The Hill July 20-41 Dear Henwar: Just a little line to tell you all is well or if it weren't for the miserable life would seem quite tolerable. But even with the itch it is a relief to be able to see some real green and get some real air into one's lungs. It's autumnlike to-day. Cold. And kind of mad-- a northwind that doesn't quite know what to do with itself. Page 2 you and your work--your problems-- are much in my mind-- I hope all will go well. It was very good of you to accompany me to the train. It was wonderful that you could do so without dislocating anything. Remember you will be welcome at The Hill at any time you appear.--- With love your old Stieglitz July 20, 1941 The Hill July 20-41 Dear Henwar: Just a line to tell you all is well and if it were it for the miserable life would seem quite tolerable But even with the itch it is a relief to be able to see some real green and get some real air into one's lungs ~~~~~~~~ It is autumn like to-day Cold and kind of mad -- a northwind that doesn't quite know what to do with itself 2/ You + your work- your problems are much in my mind- I hope all will go well It was very good of you to accompany me to the train It was wonderful that you could do so without dislocating anything ~ Remember you will be welcome at The Hill at any time you appear- With love your old Stieglitz Letter #11 3/1 193 The Hill July 25 / 41 Dear Henwar: When leaving I overlooked asking you to forward any mail for Georgia to 509 Madison Ave. --- Andrew knows what to to with it-- It's slow work getting to wlk some. -- I hope all is moving along well with you and the reports from Peggy and the young ones are to the good.
