This world-famous man has been living in the above-pictured churn for the past six years, both in summer and winter. There is no stove in it and in the winter the temperature goes down to 52 degrees below zero but that doesn't bother him. He is a master student of economics and, as one prominent man said, “He is a man with the widest diversity of useful knowledge of any man I have known. This he has proven, for he knows everything about the farm, stock, home, health, sickness, business and pleasure. In North Dakota he has a record in veterinary work not to be excelled. He also has a record there of shocking 815 lbs. of twine in 11½ days. Here in Roseau he has a record of shocking 90 lbs. of twine every 10 hours. Experience and self-education have been his guidance.
