Dear Cathy, Billy, Lisa + Little Billy,
Hope everyone is okay, I’m fine. I picked up my movie camera today. Its real nice. It’s a Bell + Howell. Can run either regular 8MM or Super 8. It treads itself automatically and a whole bunch of other stuff. You may get it when this letter gets there. I’m going to try and mail it tomorrow if I can. I’ll have it in your name. So be on the look-out for it okay. All I need now is a tape recorder. A buddy of mine just got one today. It cost him $225.00, What! But its beautiful. They had one almost like his at the P.X. But I
don’t know if I’m going to get it yet. I’ll probbly[sic] want till I get back to Ft. Carson.
I still need the light and the screen for the movie camera. But I might get them when I get out.
I see the Yanks are on the move. They beat the A’s two games yesterday. What did they have Bat Day with 50,000 people. I know the A’s don’t draw that big. The Mets better hang it up loseing[sic] two, and to Houston!
How are the kids? Is Billy running around yet? Give them a kiss for me. Well that’s about it for now Take care.
Vincent
P.S. I forgot to tell you. When you take the camera out of the box. You’ll see I put these two little pieces of plastic where the reels go. If you read the book you’ll see where they go. Don’t loose them. They have something to do with the difference in the reel size.
