Dear Mom,
How is every one at home?
Fine I hope. I am doing well. It’s still plenty cold; but a hard cold every thing froze over. I’m now about 20 miles north of Ham Hung which is a very short distance from the border. We haven’t come in contact with any enemy force at all sense we left the monastery between Wonsun and Ham Hung. We have trouble at night with guerillas all nite.
But usually it’s only a small band.
Things look real good now, a big change sense I wrote you last. I think we might pull out soon for somewhere. Any way we are moving north all the time.
I’m no longer with any Savannah boys but a boy name [Balwin].
Well I’ll close for now. Tell Helena Hello.
Love
Bob
