Dear Frances,
Well how are things in Texas? Its raining here now + its rather cold. As you saw from my address I've transferred to headquarters CO.
I'm working in the Orderly Room I'll be taking over the job of The Training NCO. The man I was helping is on Orders for Germany. So I'll be responsible for the training of about 190 men I have to arrange [illegible], training bids, + the roll call + post attendence [sic.] of personnel attending classes, keep records of all training, and plenty more. It keeps me so busy that I had to put in over 10 hrs overtime this weekend to try to get caught up, I'm still not.
Wed. we went to the M79 Gernade [sic.] launcher firing range + we shot it 4 times. Its just like a police tear gas
over
gun and is as accurate as my rifle. Thurs. we went to the 3.5" rocket launcher range. + fired + loaded it three times. The back blast goes out 75 meters. Its very accurate too. We had to wear gas mask when we fired it from the prone, kneeling, + standing position. you may know the 3.5" R.L. better as the [Bayoaks?]. It really was noisy. But its fun to Shoot.
I went to Seattle twice. went to the Space needle + rode the monorail. Last week end I saw Uncle Nathan + Family, michle went to San Antonio that morning for 1 month. He took me up in the mts. fishing. So much snow was still on the mts + was melting + causing [Hzd?] falls. - real pretty.
Thats about all the news,
Love Allan
Tell Howard, Randall + David hi.
