Dear Mom:
Just a note to you my darlings, because it’s after lights out, and I’m lying on my stomach in the middle of the floor by the doorway using the light outside.
We’ve been restricted since Sunday, because of that $15 and because we’ve gotten so many “gigs" as a Company that we’ve got to scrub and clean and pay for it ‘till this darned old barracks shines. I actually haven’t been [?] here except to classes since Sunday.
I got a “gig" for one
empty last hanger being out of place and one of my P.T. dresses not being stamped with my number- Oh fun!
I did see the C.O. here and she sent me to see the legal advisor and she gave me the address of the lawyer in Oregon, who handles service peoples affairs. I will write a letter and she will go over it for me and help me all she can. She said it sounds a little complicated to her.
Did I tell you I already have partial plates. Beautiful ones, too, that light pale pink stuff like yours, but they are packed away in my wall locker. My mouth feels so full when I have them in
I can’t talk great, so I’ll just put them in for physicals.
You
The Sgt. made me quit, so I quit. You gotta mind these sgts or else.

Dear Mom and my darling Donna on her 7th birthday.
I just discovered this letter I started weeks ago and never finished. I thought I had sent it.
I will bring this to a close quickly so I won’t forget again.
I miss the kids and you all today more than ever. I did go in the laundry room this morning and had a few tears, but altho it relieved my feelings it’s pretty silly.
My love to you all and write often.
Kiss Donna and Sunni and tell them the further away I get the more I love them.
