Hi,
I’m sitting in my tent all alone, nobody to bother me. I have the worst tooth aches that I have ever had. 3 teeth are hurting so bad, that I can’t sleep, + I just finished up 18 hours duty. To top it off, I go back on duty in 3 ½ hours.
I can’t get my mail today, because I had to chase the prisoners to chow, + when I got back, I had missed mail call, so they won’t give me my mail.
I’ll tell you, I can’t stand this company. I’m going to put in a request to go to the infantry as soon as my 6 months are up with the M.P.’s. I don’t care if I even go to the D.M.Z. Man my teeth are hurting. I have a dental appointment for thursday, today is Tuesday. I’ll get dentures while I’m over here, but there is a 2 month waiting list
Boy, I wish I was born with good teeth. Over here, your teeth seem to go bad faster than in the states.
This place is terrible for your health.
How has Mike been doing at small game? I really miss going hunting. How old will Phil be this time next year? I can’t wait to take him hunting with me. He’s turning out to be a pretty cool kid.
I guess when I was home I should have treated him better, but he was kind of young, + acted like a little boy.
I remember when I took him hunting with me, I really enjoyed his company.
You know, I can picture the car right now! The dash board is probably all scratched, worse than ever, the areal is broken off, the paint job is ruined.
I’ll bet Judy even had a couple of accidents with it.
They are paying us by the month now, instead of every 2 weeks, so I probably won’t be able to save money like before.
So far, I have received every package you have sent, the last one was a box of cookies.
I’ll send the film home as soon as I get a chance to go to the post-office, which may be never.
I got a couple of record albums from a girl who writes to me, but I don’t have anything to play them on, everybody
that has a record player moved up north, or else they are burnt out do to this cruddy electrical current over here.
I guess I’ll just have to wait to see who’s going to buy the next record player.
I got a letter from Miss Broskey, it contained all kinds of funny things that the students wrote. It really made me feel good.
Did you hear that Chucky Grades won the Bronze Star. He is a real go getter when it comes to combat. I hope I can do as good if they let me go to the grunts.
Well, I’ll see you people in about 9 months, at least I’m out of the [teens?]!
Love you all.
Bob

P.S.
Sorry, but I can’t write too often, I’m busy every moment.
