I am up at cousin Mollies now. I came up Friday afternoon. I guess I will go back to cousin Betties tomorrow. I sure wish you were up here with me. It is just a little lonesome. Cousin Mabel went to Atlanta Saturday morning
and there isnt any body up here but cousin Mollie and Nelle.
I dont suppose those girls wanted to meet me very bad, or they would have let you know about it.
I sure am disappointed because I have to wait a month or so to get your picture. I wanted one now to look at when I could see you. If I had it my way it wouldnt be but a few days until I would have one, but I dont always get things my way. I am afraid it will be Aug. before I see you again for I dont believe I am going to get a job, and that seems a long time off two long months. It will seem like two years to me. I havent any pictures
only little old stamp pictures and they are in my trunk at Knoxville. I am going down the first of the week and will get some of them and send you if you will have them. I am going to have some taken soon and will send you a large one. Say I was tempted to hook the picture you sent cousin Mollie, but I knew she would break
my neck as soon as she missed it.
Myrtle remember when you came down to the train just before I left? You had something in the lapell [sic.] of your coat that I was crazy for and ---well I didnt have the nerve I guess you would call it to ask you for it. I thought you kindly wanted me to have it but of course I may have been mistaken. But I
hope not. If you didnt want me to have it, I am sure you would have given it to me, if I had asked you for it, wouldnt you? I guess you comprehend what I mean, but if you dont it was a beautiful red rose bud. And I always loved them very much, I believe better than any other flower.
I may go up home in about a week, but dont you ever get it in your head that I wont come back to Tennessee. I love old Virginia better than any other state and it is very dear to me. But I love a little girl away down in sunny Tennessee and I would come back if I had to come through a blaze of fire, that is if it was possible to get through even to see her just a few minutes.
If I go I am coming back the first of August if I live.
