I had begun to think sure enough it was a long ways to Tenn. When I received your letter. I was thinking it was a longer way than it really is. But I live forty miles from nowhere. Any back her in the mountains of Southwestern Va. We dont see the sun but once ever two days and the river bottoms are turned up edgeways.
I am praying that I will get to go back to Tenn. In Aug. but I dont know yet for sure if I will get to come or not. If I come I sure want to be up there when Roberts friends are there. You see it is this, I am thinking a little about being a little farmer boy, and if I farm I will be so busy that I dont know if I can get off. My brother Billy or I will have to take charge of the farm here at home, and it remains to be decided which it will be. He is in N.Y. now and is coming home in July. I am going to try to put it on him, for I dont think it will suit me much to farm though it is the most healthful, cleanest and sure way of making a living you can get into. I sure am going back to Tenn. In Aug. if possible.
You sure are getting popular, getting all those invites to hay rides, picnics and card parties. I never get to go anywhere without it is to shoulder up an old gun and get out here in the mountain squirrel hunting and that isnt much
fun especially when you dont kill anything. I know Harold had a grand time at his dearest little Sallies party. Poor little baby girls to [sic.] small to be invited. I know your hearts were broke especially you, as it was Mr. Silers home and you are so crazy about him.
I at last found those other small pictures but they are not much better than the ones I sent. That is a friend with me that went to the business college.
When are you going up to cousin Graces? I guess you are getting to be some good cook and Ill bet you have a right to have a good opinion of yourself.
With love
