Dearest Mother,
I’m dropping you a short note to let you know I’m O.K. I’ll write a longer letter describing New Year’s Eve - I’ve lapsed a couple of days but with New Year’s day and all I’ve failed to write.
There was a dance last night - Holohau (Navigation) and I are in solid with one of the leading families of the near by town Explanations will follow in an Air Mail written this afternoon. Don’t worry about me losing weight - it’s just excess I put on lying around [?] and on the boat. All packages have arrived. My love to Grandpa and Grandma.
All my Love,
Wing
