Dearest Mother,
My second letter that was to explain New Years was never written - it will be soon. I’ve been confined to quarters with what promised to be the Old [?] [?] “Flu”. But they stuffed me full of Sulpha till the flu was one - now I’m chewing on vitamin tablets to regain the strength the sulpha took out of me - a vicious circle. Nevertheless I missed the hospital. So you’ll excuse the letter I failed to write as with a temp of 103 all you want to do is sleep. However today everything looks easy, and tomorrow there’s a promise of an Air Mail.
Heard from Pat and Jean also a Xmas Card from C. Woodward (Penn Roommate) Otherwise things are slow - rain is the same (lots of it) Give my love to the Grandparents
All my Love,
Wing
