Dear Ma -
Have been transfered [sic] to this hospital because the chances for getting some new teeth are better. It is one of the beauty spots of France and has two mineral springs which they claim are very beneficial to health. Am in hopes that it will not be long before I sail for the U.S. Have never reported to any men on that and now that the war is over I am
not very fussy about doing so. Have had all the army I want for some time to come. It is surly [sic] sad about the boys from the old Co. and I am very lucky to be alive and fairly well. Will write Pa a letter the 24th what is to be Father’s day for the A.E.F. Wonder if they will ever have a sweethearts day. If so I will write Sue a regular letter. Have to go to bed at nine o’clock so will say Bon Oui to all
With love
Ed.
