>> Dav Pilkey: Hey, everybody. It's Dav Pilkey again, and today we're going to draw Barky McTreeFace from Dog Man Fetch 22. So, grab something to draw with and something to draw on, and you can follow along with me. Now, with Barky, we're going to start out making a giant cloud-shaped thing. Kind of an oval shape, but it has like lots of little bumps on it. Pretty easy to make. And now, we're going to make a big smile, and it just kind of follows the shape of the bottom of his face. [ Music ] Now, we can make his mouth open, by making another giant curve, just like that. His eyes are sort of U-shaped, like two upside down U's, but we're also going to keep drawing that bumpy line that we've been doing. Put the two U's side by side, and then we draw the pupils. [ Music ] You might have noticed that I always like to leave a little, tiny dot of white in the pupil. That kind of makes it look like some light is reflecting off of it. It makes it look nice and shiny. Now we'll draw the bottom of the eye, on either side, just like this. And now he has some eyebrows. And then, on the side of the face, just some big smile lines. Now it's time for the fangs. So, draw little triangles in there. It doesn't really matter how many you draw in. Just kind of use your best judgment. Now, I'm going to use my marker, and I'm going to fill in the rest of the mouth, so it's nice and dark inside the mouth. And hey, here's a fun fact. I don't know if you're aware of this, but the Barky McTreeFace song that's included in Dog Man Fetch 22, can be sung to the tune of any magical snowman theme song you can think of. Personally, I could only think of one, but maybe there's others. Anyways, if you're looking -- if you're bored and you're looking for something to do, maybe make a music video of you drawing Barky and singing the Barky McTreeFace song. Okay. Now, we're going to draw his body, which is basically just two sort of curved lines. And his legs, they're really easy. They're just two curves that go out like that, and then a big, sort of circle shape, like that. And his feet are super easy. They're just like long sideways W's, more or less. Put one in on either side. And then this next part is basically adding roots to his legs, and it kind of makes it look like his legs are hairy, and you can just add as many or as few as you'd like. Some of the roots are just little curved lines, and some of them look like the letter Y. They kind of branch off. [ Music ] Now we're going to draw his arms, and those are two long curved lines, like that. We'll put two more long curved lines on this side, [ Music ] And then we'll do his thumb, which is kind of like a -- sort of a half moon. And then his fingers are basically the same thing, but they're pointing in the other direction. [ Music ] We'll do three of those fingers, and connect it, like that. Then we'll do another thumb over here, and three more fingers, like this. [ Music ] And connected down here, at the bottom. Now, if you want, you can add some little lines going up the side. It may be on his arms a little bit. This makes it look kind of like bark. So, he looks more tree-like. And there you have it. Hey, thanks for joining us. Take care, and we'll see you soon.
