>> Phyllis T. Miller: Hi, I'm Phyllis Thomas Miller, veteran artist Vietnam era of Coronado Island. I was a Illustration [inaudible], Second Lieutenant and I have been creating and painting all my life, and now, I have the opportunity to provide you with this little therapeutic demonstration. First of all, with art, you can adjust with colors. Colors are easy to blend. Once you find your favorite colors, you can also start with any type of subject matter. So from surrealism to abstract, this is more of a surrealism realm. And so I use acrylic paint because I favor acrylic paint because it's very easy to apply, and once you make a mistake, for example, you can cover something if it needs some adjustment. And that's the beauty of acrylic. Another form of art creativity is that you don't have to really plan your art, all you have to do is immerse yourself in it, and it will create before your very eyes. All you do is lead the way and it leads you. It's beyond words, it's art, and it's a very therapeutic healing. I use art in all of my fashions, clothing or footwear, boots, and so forth such as - shoes, and from gift boxes that were once going to be thrown away, to watch boxes that were going to be - that were in the dumpster, and I transformed them. Art is basically something that knows no time, knows no limit, and once you start creating and finding your own sense of balance, there's nothing you can do. And at the same time, art is very inspiring, and it's something unique within every one of us. All of us are artists just waiting to come out, and I hope that you find this video very pleasant, and I appreciate you, and thank you for visiting my studio. I'm Phyllis Thomas Miller, and hopefully on my social media, I will unveiling the finished work. And feel free to contact me to get started. Thank you. [ Music ]
